The couple traveled a lot and Jeruzalem made a big impression on Natalya. She is very interested in litterature and history and her works are often reminiscent of the past. Natalya made a whole series of landscapes she has known in her youth. Her technique is very personal. Scraps of paper soaked in paint are attached to the canvas and thereafter scratched, covered with new colours and text fragments by Kafka, Van Gogh etc..
The result looks like an ancient manuscript.
Zaloznaya exhibited at the Venice Biennial in 2005. She had solo exhibitions in Moscow, The USA, France, Holland, the UK and, of course, at Group 2 Gallery in Brussels.
